Today morning, I opened Google Reader and read news from favorite sources as usual, one of them is TechCrunch, of course, and I see an interesting title “Why I don’t use Twitter?“. I still remembered that TechCrunch is always supporting and encouraging the development of Twitter from the beginning. Why this post was there? I am quite curios so that I opened that, wow, that’s a long article, and the author wrote some (personal) reasons why he didn’t use Twitter: Tweets have no value, It’s incomplete, It replaces nothing and adds nothing, News breaks alike on the followed and the unfollowed and It’s pure vanity. His main point is that 140 characters are too short to say some thing. Because, that is a personal ideas, and I don’t want to argue, instead I will give the reasons why I use twitter in 140 chars or less:
1. It’s fun and interesting, like a hobby
2. I am busy and don’t have much time to blog anymore and 140 chars is enough for me
3. I learn and catch up many valuable things from people (not machines) in real-time
4. It’s a wonderful connection tool to communicate with others
5. I want to share my thought, ideas and status with others
6. It’s a social network, we live in a society and need social interactions
7. It replaces blogs in many cases
8. It’s the current trend

[...] Twitter: I am not an addict of Twitter either (though, I am not sure that if I have more time, I will update more or not ). Usually, you can see my tweets almost about technical topics such as social media, web development, user experiences … I found Twitter like a comprehensive tool to share something, like I discussed in previous post.
